Bespoke manufacturing and development

At the heart of our business is a lifetime of plastic injection moulding knowledge and experience (Est 1977). For the last 30 years we have focused on polymer industrial hose couplings, making many standard ranges and specialist adaptors.

The emergence of composite IBCs and global markets has created an ongoing need to find solutions and specialist adaptions for loading, transporting and off-loading liquids. Although we supply bespoke items to many large corporations, our systems lend themselves to moderate sized companies and quantities

Many new items have been made with original batch sizes of 500 or more. Below this figure is not impossible but the item would carry a heavy premium.

 

A quick overview of how we quote.

• Exclusive – Item to be made for the
customer and not sold to the general market.
This is particularly needed for security,
safety or a specialist supply chain. Often this is
required as part of a patented item. Exclusive
quotations may or may not include a tooling
charge depending on quantity and
circumstances.

• Market – An adaption or variation, particularly
to a standard range, can be quoted with a view
of having wider market potential. We generally
quote a unit price for the originating customer
taking first 500 off, but then supply on a from
stock basis to them or the general market.

• Bespoke – Items that fall outside the hose
coupling and adaptor market, but are required
in similar size and materials.

On a general note we are often asked for
special materials like PTFE and PVDF, but
these require specialist tooling and machinery.
The quantities involved lends itself toward
machining or fabricating adaptors.
