This CPP® Type D (Part D) coupling connects a matching 1″ male Camlock adaptor to equipment or pipework through its 1¼″ NPT female thread. It allows the Camlock joint to be connected and disconnected while the threaded end remains installed.
Manufactured from glass-filled polypropylene, the coupling includes 304 stainless steel cam arms, rings and pins, together with a polypropylene-based elastomer sealing gasket. Closing both cam arms secures the mating adaptor against the gasket.

Choosing the correct size: The 1¼″ measurement refers to the nominal pipe thread size. The Camlock head is 1″; check both connections when selecting the fitting.
Thread specification
NPT means National Pipe Taper. This product has a 1¼″ tapered female thread to ASME B1.20.1. Select a matching NPT connection and a sealing method suitable for plastic fittings. NPT and BSP threads are different standards and must be selected accordingly.
Pressure ratings — water service
| Temperature | Pressure rating |
|---|---|
| −10°C | 5 bar (approximately 73 psi) |
| 20°C | 6.5 bar (approximately 94 psi) |
| 65°C | 3 bar (approximately 44 psi) |
These ratings apply to CPP® Camlocks in the ½″–2″ size range and are based on water service. They are a guide only; verify suitability by testing under the intended conditions of use and meet applicable health and safety requirements. The complete assembly is limited by its lowest-rated component.
Installation and use
Use a suitable mating thread and sealing arrangement; avoid overtightening plastic threads. The Camlock gasket seals the Camlock joint, not the threaded connection. Check compatibility of the body, gasket and connected components with the liquid and operating temperature. Support attached hoses and pipework to avoid strain on the fitting, and release system pressure before disconnecting.
