This CPP® Type SD (Part SD) swivel coupling connects a matching 2″ male Camlock adaptor to equipment or pipework through its 1″ BSPP female thread. Its swivel construction is an alternative to a fixed-body Camlock coupling for liquid-transfer hose and pipework connections.

Useful where space is restricted: The swivel design helps position the connected hose or fitting where clearance around an IBC outlet is limited.

The body is manufactured from glass-filled polypropylene and the gasket is a polypropylene-based olefin elastomer. The female Camlock head uses cam arms to secure the matching male adaptor against the gasket.

Specifications

  • Camlock connection: 2″ female, swivel coupling.
  • Type: Type SD (Part SD).
  • Threaded connection: 1″ BSPP Female.
  • Thread standard: ISO 228-1, designation G 1; parallel internal thread (BSPP).
  • Body material: Glass-filled polypropylene.
  • Gasket material: Polypropylene-based olefin elastomer.
  • Working pressure: 60 psi (approximately 4.1 bar) at 20°C.
  • SKU: CFSD2010B027.

Camlock compatibility: Fits matching 2″ male Camlock heads manufactured to EN 14420-7 or US specification A-A-59326.

Choosing the correct size: The Camlock head is 2″. The 1″ measurement refers to the threaded connection. Check both ends before ordering.

Thread specification

BSPT means British Standard Pipe Taper; BSPP means British Standard Pipe Parallel. This coupling has a BSPP female thread to ISO 228-1. Use a compatible mating thread and a sealing arrangement suitable for the plastic fitting and application. The Camlock gasket seals the Camlock joint, not the threaded connection.

Pressure and installation

The swivel assembly has a working pressure of 60 psi at 20°C. Check suitability with CPP® for other operating temperatures. The complete installation is limited by its lowest-rated component.

Use a suitable thread seal and avoid overtightening plastic threads. Check compatibility of the body and gasket with the liquid and operating conditions. Support attached hoses and pipework to avoid strain, and depressurise the system before disconnecting the assembly.
