This CPP® IBC adaptor converts an S100X8 male outlet (3″ buttress, DN80) to a 2″ NPS Female Easy-Seal connection for compatible dispensing equipment.

Connections and materials

  • IBC connection: S100X8 female buttress thread (3″, DN80) with supplied gasket seal.
  • Outlet connection: 2″ NPS Female Easy-Seal.
  • Body material: glass-filled polypropylene (GFPP).
  • Supplied IBC seal: polypropylene-based olefin elastomer.
  • Product code: HFFSM100U20M027.

Thread identification and compatibility

S100X8 identifies a buttress thread with a nominal 100 mm male thread diameter and an 8 mm pitch. Check the thread on your IBC valve before ordering; this connection is different from S60X6, BSP and NPS threads.

The supplied gasket seals against the mating face of the IBC outlet. Correct fit depends on both the thread and the sealing face.

NPS Female Easy-Seal: the 2″ straight female thread seals against a matching outlet face using the supplied gasket. The NPS connection is parallel, unlike tapered NPT. Check the thread and sealing face; these connections should not be selected by size alone.

IBC manufacturer compatibility

Suitable for SCHÜTZ, WERIT, Greif, MAUSER (Mamor), Fustiplast and Sotralentz IBCs when fitted with a matching S100X8 male buttress outlet on a 3″ (DN80) valve and a compatible sealing face.

These manufacturers use different valve and outlet options. Confirm the actual S100X8 thread and sealing face before ordering; the tank brand or DN80 marking alone does not confirm fit. On reconditioned IBCs, check the valve currently installed.

Working pressure and testing

  • Working pressure: 1 bar (approximately 15 psi) at 20°C.
  • Pressure tested to: 60 psi (approximately 4.1 bar).

The working pressure applies to the adaptor. Follow the limits of the IBC tank, valve and connected equipment; this rating does not authorise pressurising an IBC tank.

Installation and use

Check that the outlet thread and sealing face are clean and undamaged, and that the gasket is correctly seated. Align the adaptor carefully to avoid cross-threading. Support attached hoses and pipework to reduce strain on the IBC valve, and release pressure before disconnecting.

NPS female connection: hand-tighten until gasket contact, then tighten a further 80° minimum to 160° maximum, using a suitable strap wrench where necessary. This guidance applies to the NPS connection.

Material and chemical suitability

Check the suitability of the fitting and seal for your liquid and operating conditions. Refer to the CPP® chemical resistance guide and Material Application Statement.
